What moves on your phone
stays on your phone.

This policy explains what Repay processes locally and how Screen Time, workout verification and subscriptions work.

Plain-language privacy Effective August 10, 2026

1. The short version

Repay is an iPhone app that lets you earn access to apps you select by completing an exercise or solving math problems. The core experience does not require an account.

Controller: Repay is operated by Jasper van Rooijen in the Netherlands. For privacy questions or requests, email jaspervanrooijen1@hotmail.com.

Our default posture

Your app selection, app activity, camera video, workout history and vault history are not uploaded by Repay. Workout verification and Screen Time controls run on your device.

Repay’s 100 short quotes are bundled with the app and cycled locally. They do not require an account or network connection.

2. Data processed on your device

Repay stores and uses the following information locally to make the app work:

  • Vault data: your current earned-time balance, earned and spent transactions, transaction dates, and any active spending session.
  • Workout data: the type of activity, verified rep count or plank duration, math problems solved, and earned time.
  • Progress: totals and movement streaks calculated from your local history.
  • Settings: your exchange rate, onboarding state, and related app preferences.
  • Screen Time selection: the apps, websites or categories you choose through Apple’s picker, represented to Repay by Apple’s protected selection tokens.

This data is stored in Repay’s local app storage and, where required for Screen Time extensions, its protected App Group container. Repay does not operate a user-account database for this data.

Screen Time and app activity

Repay uses Apple’s Family Controls, Managed Settings and Device Activity frameworks to apply shields and end an unlock session when earned time runs out. Your selections and Screen Time handling remain on your device. Repay does not send your selected apps, app-usage data, browsing history or content to a remote service.

Camera and movement data

During push-up and squat workouts, Repay uses the front camera and Apple’s on-device Vision framework to measure face movement or detect body landmarks. Camera frames and observations are processed in memory on your iPhone. Repay does not record, save or upload video or movement observations.

Proximity and motion data

Push-ups use the front camera to measure relative face movement on-device. Push-ups and planks also use local motion checks to confirm the phone is flat and still. Camera frames and sensor readings are processed during the workout and are not uploaded.

3. Permissions Repay may request

  • Screen Time: required to select and shield apps, websites or categories. Without this authorization, Repay cannot provide its blocking feature.
  • Camera: used only while a push-up or squat workout is active, for on-device rep detection.
  • Notifications: used for optional reminders, including a notice when your vault runs out. You can change notification access in iOS Settings.

You can revoke these permissions in iOS Settings. Revoking a permission may stop the related feature from working.

4. Local quotes

Repay includes 100 curated quotes in the app bundle. Repay cycles through them locally and stores only the current position so the next quote can be selected. No quote request, workout context or vault data is sent to a remote service.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Repay Pro is an optional auto-renewable subscription. Apple processes payment, renewal and refund requests through the App Store. Repay receives entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features, but does not receive your full payment-card details.

You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings. The price and renewal terms shown by Apple before purchase apply.

6. This website

The Repay marketing site does not set advertising cookies and does not include third-party analytics in its current version. The company that hosts the site may process standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time, to deliver and secure the site.

If this site later adds analytics, a newsletter, payments or other data-collecting features, this policy will be updated before those features are used.

7. Retention and deletion

Local vault history, workout history and settings remain on your device until you use Reset Repay in Settings or delete the app. Screen Time authorization and system-managed selections can also be changed or revoked through Repay and iOS Settings.

Repay does not maintain a remote profile for local quotes or local vault history.

8. Your choices

  • Change the apps and categories Repay shields at any time.
  • Manage camera, Screen Time and notification permissions in iOS Settings.
  • Use Reset Repay to erase your local balance, history and settings.
  • Delete Repay from your iPhone to remove its local app data, subject to iOS backup behavior you control.

Because Repay does not require an account or keep your local vault history on its servers, we generally cannot retrieve or delete that local data for you.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Repay changes. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on this page where appropriate.
